Our accessibility standard

We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our technical design and testing target for public, account, owner and administrative interfaces. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing requirement rather than a one-time certification.

Built-in accessibility practices

• Semantic headings, landmarks, labels and meaningful link text.
• Keyboard access, visible focus indicators and skip navigation.
• Text resizing and responsive layouts without ordinary horizontal scrolling.
• Color is not the only way important information is communicated.
• Form errors are identified in text and associated with the relevant task.
• Reduced-motion and higher-contrast preferences are supported where available.
• Uploaded media workflows support meaningful alternative text when needed.

Business accessibility information

Businesses can publish accessibility information such as entrances, parking, restrooms, seating and other accommodations. These details may be supplied by businesses or public research and should be confirmed directly when an accommodation is important to your visit.

Need help or found a barrier?

If a feature prevents you from accessing information or completing a task, tell us the page, what you were trying to do and the barrier you encountered. You may include assistive-technology or browser details if useful, but you are not required to disclose a disability.

Some business websites, embedded services or external destinations are controlled by third parties. We work to keep AroundThomasville's own interface accessible and encourage listed businesses and vendors to provide accessible experiences as well.
