Steward pins (moderators)
A role, not a trophy. It never goes in the Trophy Case.
Board StewardPicked by the admin to moderate one or two boards. Needs: account 6+ months, Helping Hand Bloom, no upheld reports, and a short training.
Senior Steward6 months as a Board Steward with good reviews. Can moderate up to 5 boards and train new stewards.
Head StewardAdmin-appointed lead for all community boards. Handles appeals with the admin.
Where the pin shows
- Next to the name on every post and reply:
Steward (moderator) · Kids & Family
- In a Community roles strip on the patron profile, under the name, separate from the trophy shelf
- In the board sidebar under Board stewards
- The shield shape is only used for stewards, so it’s never confused with an award
What stewards can do
- Pin up to 2 posts per board
- Move posts to the right board
- Hide posts that break the rules (the author is told why and can appeal)
- Start official board polls
- Confirm Ride circle and volunteer sign-ups
- Can’t delete accounts, see private messages or edit anyone’s words
How someone becomes one
- Account 6+ months, Helping Hand at Bloom
- No upheld reports in the last 6 months
- Picked by the admin, then a short training
- Reviewed every 6 months; inactive for 60 days and the pin is paused
Accountability
- Every steward action is logged for the admin
- Anyone can appeal a hidden post
- Stewards can’t moderate posts about a business they own or work for
Fair play
Rules that keep badges honest
- “Helpful” and “Me too” only count from different people with accounts 7+ days old. You can’t mark your own posts.
- Max 3 helpful replies counted per day, and a “Found it” pick can’t go to someone in your household.
- Poll votes count only from signed-in, verified neighbors, one per person.
- Volunteer shifts count only when the organizer marks you present.
- Removed posts take back the credit they earned.
