Board rules

The same 10 rules apply on every board. They’re short on purpose. Stewards and admins use them for every decision.

   Be kindNo insults, name-calling, harassment or piling on.

   Stay on topicPost on the right board. No repeat posts of the same request.

   Keep private info privateNo phone numbers, addresses, license plates or anyone’s personal details, yours or someone else’s.

   No selling or self-promotionNeighbors don’t advertise. Businesses answer once per post and don’t post requests as the business.

   No spam or scamsNo junk links or chain posts (serious). Scams, phishing or asking for money is zero tolerance.

   No hate or discriminationNo slurs and nothing that attacks people for who they are.

    Respect the boardFollow steward requests. Don’t game badges, votes or “found it.” A new account to dodge a suspension or ban is zero tolerance.

ℹThe free first warning only applies to minor and moderate rules: your first one is 0 points, and you get a new one after every clean slate. Serious rules add points right away. Zero tolerance rules skip points entirely. A steward can lower points, never raise them.
